ROADS AND PUBLIC WORKS ENGINEER
Reporting to the Director of Engineering Services, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Recommending works and road management process and procedures to the Director.
- Ensuring implementation of construction policies and procedures
- Ensuring that the roads are maintained as per annual road maintenance programme.
- Ensuring that roads condition surveys are carried out annually and updated
- Preparing the road maintenance programme for submission to ZINARA.
- Preparing acquittal reports for the roads fund.
- Ensuring that roads and other public works designs are done as may be assigned.
- Ensuring that other public works projects are done as instructed and assigned by the Director.
- Consolidating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for submission to the Director.
- Preparing section budget including BOQ preparation for the approval of the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bsc Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years’experience preferably in local authorities.
- No Criminal Record.
