Duties And Responsibilities
Position Summary
The consultant will develop a Risk Management Framework for the FHI360 Provident Fund in line with the Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) guidelines. The consultant will develop a framework that shall cover the strategies, processes and reporting procedures necessary to identify measure, monitor, assess, control and report, on a continuous and ad hoc, basis, all material risks, at an individual and aggregated level, to which the entity is or could be exposed to, and their interdependencies. The risk management framework should at a minimum include: – a) definitions and categorization of all reasonably foreseeable, current and emerging material risks (including external and internal business specific and enterprise-wide risks) to which the entity is exposed to, taking into account the nature, scale and complexity of the entity and its business; b) the approach relating to the identification, assessment, monitoring, management and reporting of each risk, including assignment of specific risk management responsibilities across the fund or administrator. The risk management framework is expected to foster a risk management system that is well integrated into the organizational structure, culture and in the decision-making process of the fund. The risk management systems should be commensurate with the nature, scale and complexity of the fund/administrator, reflecting the scope and degree of sophistication of its activities. This consultancy is expected to be completed in 15 days.

Degree in Insurance, Pension, Risk Management, Economics, Law, Actuarial Science , Financial Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance. A relevant professional qualification in a pension or insurance related field will be an added advantage. At least 5 years post qualification relevant experience. An appreciation of insurance and pensions regulations. Must be fluent in English. Experience writing and/or contributing to the development of Risk Frameworks for similar schemes. Traceable references.
