An opportunity exists for a Risk and Security Investigator to join our team in Zimbabwe.
The main purpose of this role is to provide Investigations into loss control court representative, ensuring all protocols and procedures are followed.
The Risk & Security Investigator reports directly to the Risk & Security Manager and Officer. This position is responsible for:
- Investigating internal losses
- Representing and testifying on behalf of SMH/Mukuru in court
- Liaising with external agencies (Law enforcement, legal representatives, prosecutors
- Maintaining investigation documents securely
- Compiling reports
- Interviews and hearing assistance
Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not limited to):
- Investigate internal and external criminal activities
- Carry out investigations and interviews
- Submit timely reports on investigations
- Ensures effective communication and reporting to security management
- Conducts checks on various departments to ensure procedural and fiscal compliance
- Gather evidence and make informed decisions and conclusions by employing deductive reasoning and analysis that leads to prosecution
- Write detailed reports, file and maintain all records while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Ensure all reportable cases are captured
- Submit recommendations to R&SM and HR on cases
- Maintain strict records confidentiality
- Coordinate search and arrest warrants, arresting suspects as necessary
- Lead security investigations as required
- Provide additional information for reports
- Liaise with local agencies
- Testify in court about findings and evidence
- Ensure all liaison with external agencies is completed to the required standards
- Preparation of reports and court submissions as directed
- Represent SMH/Mukuru as the investigating officer and official representative of the company
- Assist with inventory recovery
Key Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
- Law Degree
- Police studies
- Certificate in security management
- O level English pass
- 5 yrs service with a law enforcement agency (ZRP/CID/Mil Pol)
- Legal knowledge
- Security management
- Knowledge of Mukuru operations
- Knowledge of minimum security standards for holding cash
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures
- Knowledge of auditing
- Knowledge of AML
