Role Purpose (About the Job):
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk & Compliance Manager to support the Chief Legal Officer in strengthening the organisation’s risk and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations while promoting strong governance, ethics, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organisation’s risk management framework and policies
  • Identify, assess, and monitor organisational risks across all business areas
  • Maintain and continuously update the corporate risk register
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on implications
  • Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and investigations where necessary
  • Support the development and implementation of internal policies and governance frameworks
  • Prepare risk and compliance reports for the Chief Legal Officer, Executive Management, and Board Committees
  • Deliver risk and compliance training to promote awareness and best practice
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders as required
  • Develop and implement systems, mechanisms, and procedures to ensure all AML matters are reported
  • Conduct staff training and awareness programs
  • Investigation of reports without delay
  • Report to the FIU, Audit and Risk Committee and Exco of all AML matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management or related field.
  • Professional certification in Risk and/or Compliance is a must.
  • At least 5 years experience in a leadership role in risk management and/or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of legal and compliance principles.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
