JOB DESCRIPTION
Trojan Mine is a division of Trojan Nickel Mine Limited, which is a 100% subsidiary of Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of RIGGER which has arisen in our Mining department.
Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, the incumbent will have a key role in providing with all rigging services in the underground and surface engineering operations,
Main Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine and scheduled maintenance work on cranes, ropes and other lifting devices.
- Spearheading condition monitoring activities in line with planned maintenance strategies.
- Calculating and determining load bearing capacities for planned construction works.
- Ensuring that all maintenance work meets Mine Management and safety regulations requirements.
- Ensuring that all rigging work on the mine is executed safely and efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
- Class 1 Certificate in Rigging and Lifting.
- 5 ‘O’ Levels including Maths, English and Science
- At least 5 years’ experience in a large, mechanised mine.
- Computer literate
