Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd (ZCDC), a World Class Diamond Producer for the long-term benefit of Zimbabwe seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following positions that have arisen in the business:

RIGGER ROPEMAN

Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:

⦁ Aligning, leveling, and anchoring machinery.
⦁ Controlling movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
⦁ Fabricating, setting up, and repairing rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gears.
⦁ Giving signals to workers involved in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure the safety of workers and equipment.
⦁ Inspecting lifting gear daily in line with SHEQ policies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

⦁ Class 1 Journeyman Certificate Rigger Ropeman.
⦁ At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience working in a mining, processing plant or heavy manufacturing industry.
⦁ Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management systems.
