Reporting to the Mobile Equipment Foreman, the job is based at the Mines and responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties

Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in order to prevent breakdowns which affect production.
• Carrying out new installations and modifications on rigs
• Carrying out daily inspection and routine checks on rigs.
• Ensuring that breakdowns are resolved in shortest possible time.
• Ensuring proper documentation is done for record keeping.
• Interpreting drawing and machining of components as specified
• Adhering to SHEQ policies and standards.
• Class l journeyman certificate
• At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience in a mining, processing plant or heavy manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years’ experience in maintenance of exploration and production rigs
• Experience with Atlas Copco Rigs will be an added advantage.
