Background to the Consultancy
Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ), a network of women’s rights activists and women’s rights organizations in Zimbabwe with national structures in the country’s 10 provinces. As a network or coalition of women’s movement, it is important for WCoZ to have a well-written and relevant code of ethics, standards, values and principles of conduct to foster an environment of trust, ethical behaviour, integrity and excellence for members, stakeholders, partners and secretariat. It is against this background that WCoZ is looking for a consultant to review its Code of Ethics, Standards, Values and Principles of Conduct.
Tasks under this consultancy
The consultant will be expected to: Review and update the current Code of Ethics, Standards, Values and Principles of Conduct including standard operating procedures and Grievance handling procedures (SOPs) and implementation for the updated Code; Conduct a training workshop for members and secretariat on WCoZ Code of Ethics, Standards, Values and Principles of Conduct & SOPs.
Deliverables
The consultant will be responsible for the following deliverables: Review and the WCoZ Code of Ethics, Standards, Values and Principles of Conduct; Facilitate a two-day training to WCoZ National Coordinating Committee (Board), Membership and Ethics Committee and Secretariat on effectively implementing the WCoZ Code of Ethics, Standards, Values and Principles of Conduct & SOPs; Submission of the report of the two day training; Submission of the final reviewed WCoZ Code of Ethics, Standards, Values and Principles of Conduct.
Expected qualifications, experience of the consultant
The consultant should have a Masters’ Degree in Law, Governance, or related fields; Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in governance with coalitions or membership-based organizations and networks and proven working experience in developing and reviewing governance documents for coalitions and network groups.

It will also detail work-plan, including dates for when specific tasks will be done.
