REVENUE OFFICER

The position exists to implement the requisite strategies in the collection of revenue from the various business partners as stipulated by the Manpower Planning & Development Act chapter 28:02 and S. 174 of 1999 levy notice to enable its sustenance and achieve ZIMDEF mandate.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring proper account maintenance by checking that accounts for all business partners are up-to-date at any given period and revenue is collected accordingly within the stipulated timelines.
  • Identifying employers or business partners who have not registered and registering such businesses in accordance with the relevant legislation to ensure revenue growth.
  • Carrying out physical inspections of financial statements or financial reports for business partners to ascertain that corrective amounts are remitted.
  • Collecting training from business partners through various means adopted by the Fund and ensuring that al 1 levy due to the Fund is collected as expected.
  • Collecting levy debt and ensuring that defaulting business partners remit the levy in accordance with the Fund’s Debt Recovery Procedure.
  • Monitoring clients/companies under Judicial Management so as to file claims to declare amounts owed to the Fund.
  • Constantly interacting and updating business partners to keep them well informed about matters relating to levy col lection.
  • Educating business partners about training levy, its benefits and on how the funds are being utilized.
  • Attending timeously to client queries so as to facilitate smooth levy collections.
  • Preparing and producing reports on levy col lections, inspections, registrations and debtors.
  • Reporting monthly on the performance of the allocated portfolio and the progress that has been made in order for management to assess the organisation’s financial standing.

Qualifications, Competencies and Work Competencies

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognised institute of higher learning
  • A relevant higher qualification will bean added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Clean class 4 Driver’s licence is a must
