Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the various vacant posts that have arisen in the Zimbabwe Independent Complaints Commission.
RESEARCH OFFICER X 1
GRADE: G3B
REPORTS TO: MANAGER CONFLICT PREVENTION
STATION: HEAD OFFICE
ORGANIZATION: ZIMBABWE INDEPENDENT COMPLAINTS COMMISSION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Research on strategies to prevent conflicts and contributing to peace building efforts;
b) Updating and research on early warning systems to identifying potential conflicts and crises;
c) Gathering and analysing data from various sources to inform the early response by the Commission;
d) Collaborating with other departments to formulate conflict prevention strategies and action plans;
e) Research on policies aimed at mitigating conflict risks;
f) Preparing reports and briefs on conflict trends and prevention initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
a) A Bachelor’s degree in Peace Conflict and governance, Conflict resolution, International relations, Political science or related field;
b) Certification in mediation, negotiation, conflict prevention or analysis is an added advantage;
c) A minimum of 1 year of experience in conflict analysis, peacebuilding, or a similar role;
d) Training in early warning systems, crisis intervention, and counselling is preferred;
e) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely;
f) Fluency in multiple languages can be an asset;
