RESEARCH FELLOW: VICE CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE: NATIONAL CENTRE (1 POST)
Duties And Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Ensuring that the Vice Chancellor researches and publishes;
2 Undertaking research and publish as a scholar;
3 Writing assigned speeches for Vice Chancellor;
4 Proof reading speeches from units intended to be used by Vice Chancellor;
5 Undertaking researches that enable management to make informed decisions;
6 Attending conferences to disseminate research findings and cross-pollinate ideas with other researchers;
7 Taking responsibility for, manage and conduct administrative and management tasks associated with research; and
8 Any other duties as may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
Qualifications And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Preferably a Full Professor or Associate Professor
· An earned PhD (most preferably in an ODL related area);
· A minimum of four (4) years of managing operations in an educational setting;
· Computer literacy is a must; and
· Experience in working in a university setting, especially Distance Education/Open and Distance
Learning will have an added advantage
