Position summary

The position is responsible for orienting Focus Group discussions with assigned sample population in accordance to MSF protocols and guidelines as assigned by the Research Facilitator and registering all collected information with attention to data quality and coherence

Position responsibilities

Accountable for overall research objectives, as decided by the Research Facilitator; Supervision of Data collectors & the data encoding; Ensure and monitor that study procedures are being adhered to and implemented; Team representative to the local population and authorities in the research areas; Implementation of the quotas and randomization model; Ability to work and effectively communicate with different target audiences; Ability to work independently, and pro-actively; Experience in working with youth and Adolescents will be an asset; Experience in International Humanitarian Aid organisation an added advantage; Ability to represent MSF professionally in line with MSF values and behavioral commitments; Ability to effectively work in a diverse multicultural team and multi-tasking, with humanitarian agility.

Qualifications

A holder of a degree in Psychology or working to complete a degree in Psychology (in final year of the program); Computer literacy including Microsoft Excel; Good oral and written English language and any local language; Please state the two languages in your application; Highly flexible; ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet deadlines; Motivation to work in an international/inter-cultural context & humanitarian team spirit; Previous experience with interview-based research will be an asset.
