QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 O” Levels including English Language, Mathematics & a Science subject.
- A General Nurses’ Diploma
- Be currently registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
- Diploma in mental health
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing clinical health services in the Health facilities and Community.
- Conducting psychometric assessments on patients diagnosing and prescribing medication.
- Review of chronic patients.
- Maintaining registers for chronic patients.
- Counselling of staff and patients.
- Attending stakeholders meetings for mental health advocacy
- Tracking of defaulters
- Conducting individual group and family psychotherapy
- Spearheading rehabilitation activities for patients in the Urban Community.
- Planning activities for mental health awareness and advocacy
- Home visits.
- Intergration of mental health into other programs
