POSITION	Registered Chemotherapy Nurse
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB	To treat oncology patients
LOCATION	Plot 4921, Gaborone, Botswana
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS	Assessment of patients & triage of patient care Administration of chemotherapy, blood components, fluid, and electrolyte replacements Counselling of patients Provides education to patients & families. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION	Relevant Diploma/Degree in nursing. Administering of chemotherapy and working in Oncology experience advantageous
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE	5 years’ nursing experience in a clinical environment
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION	Registered as a Nurse with Botswana Nursing Council
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES	Counselling Oncology/clinical nursing skills Administering medication/ chemotherapy treatments Infection control Quality orientation Communication Interpersonal skills Building rapport Customer focus Decisionmaking
