Job exists to ensure that the HIV/SRHR services provided are fit for purpose, consistent and meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance, client satisfaction and expectations. The job liaises with the National QA/CQI Specialist, Provincial, Site Managers and staff throughout the region to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Develops the regional QA plans and budgets in liaison with Provincial Managers, site managers and MoHCC.
• Supports the Regional Program Managers to adhere to donor expectations on the delivery of the quality
assurance and quality improvement plans.
• Provides sound leadership to ensure all HIV/SRHR activities are integrating quality processes in daily practice.
• Ensures active capacity building to Field Managers for quality and infection control related matters.
• Coordinates technical support and supervision visits to service delivery sites in liaison with MOHCC.
• Coordinates and participates in development and dissemination of SOPs in line with MOHCC guidelines.
• Participates in the internal and external audits for PSI direct sites and PSI supported districts.
• Conducts ongoing QA mentorship to all sites in the region.
• Ensures all PSI HIV/SRHR personnel are trained in infection control and quality issues.
• Recommends appropriate trainers to Field Managers in liaison with MOHCC.
• Acts as a resource person in provincial and district training in the regions.
• Accounts for material and financial resources for service delivery training across all health areas.
• Ensures all HIV/SRHR Severe adverse events are reported to the Regional Director within 24hours from the time he/
she aware of its occurrence.
• Facilitates/oversees the management of severe adverse events from the point of occurrence to full resolution.
• Coordinates the management of all AEs in the region, in liaison with MOHCC teams.
• Conducts trend analysis of different AE classes and recommends remedial action to solve recurring challenges.
• Ensures the availability of emergency medicines and logistics for the management of AE`s.
• Consolidates the regional AE database on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Coordinates the mentorship program in management of AE`s.
• Accounts for the material and financial resources for AE management.
• Facilitate the Assessment of private sector health facilities for readiness to offer clinical services, facilitates their certification and conduct regular QA checks.
