Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The specific tasks oft he Driver/Office Assistant will include:
Transportation Services:
• Safely operate project vehicles to transport project staff, partners, and materials to designated locations asper the project’s requirements.
• Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and safe driving practices at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and good working condition of the project vehicles.
Assisting the coordination of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Keep updated the Logbook.
Administrative Support:
• Assist in office administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and organizing documents.
• Assist in receiving and dispatching project correspondence, packages, and deliveries.
: Supporting maintaining inventory records of office supplies and equipment.
Help in arranging meeting venues, preparing meeting rooms, and setting up necessary equipment.
Support to Provincial Coordinator:
Provide logistical support during project events, workshops, and meetings, including setting up venues and providing assistance to participants as needed Assist in arranging travel logistics for project staff and visitors. including booking accommodations and arranging airport transfers
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator to support project activities.
Qualifications and Competences:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a driver preferably in a similar organization or project.
Familiarity with local traffic regulation sand routes within Zimbabwe.
Basic ministrative skills ,including proficiency in MS Office applications.
Ability to communicate effectively in English .both orally and inwriting.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Punctuality, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.
Required Work Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a driver, preferably in a development projector NGO setting
• Experience in providing office support and administrative assistance is an advantage.
Mode and Duration of Contract
The contract will be for an initial period of one year, renewable based on performance and funding availability.
