One of our clients in the transport sector is looking for a radiator mechanic to start immediately.
Duties And Responsibilities
Repairs cooling system in vehicles;
Pumps water or compressed air through radiator to test it for obstruction or leaks;
Flushes radiators with cleaning compound to remove obstructions like rust or mineral deposits;
Removes radiator core from vehicle and cleaning it using rods or boiling water and solvents or combination of boil out rod out;
Solders leaks in core or tank using soldering iron or acetylene torch;
Disassembles, repairs or replaces defective tank ;
Replaces faulty thermostats and, leaky head gasket ;
Installs new cores;
Clean, tests and repair radiators;
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area;
Perform other tasks as may be required by the Workshop Foreman and Workshop Manager.
Qualifications And Experience
Journey man class 1 qualification
Skills
Hard worker, with high levels of energy and self-motivation;
Planning and Organization Skills;
Ensuring compliance with the Health, Safety, Environmental & Security and Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption policies for yourself;
