QUARRY PLANT OPERTOR – Start-up Mine 242 views

DUTIES
Operate the crushing and screening equipment for the quarry ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the plant
Visually observe and monitor gauges and of all equipment while in operation to maintain proper and efficient flow of material on belts, crushers and screens
Maintain strong communications with Mine Manager and all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow from quarry to crusher
Identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications and makes adjustments to control or vary size or grade of product and required
material blends.
Perform routine maintenance on conveyor belts and crushing equipment including splicing, replacing idlers, pulleys, drive belts, bearings, changing of screens, cleaning and lubrication

Shut down equipment as required in the event of an emergency, blockages or end of shift; coordinate/assist in required repairs
Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Quarry Plant
Keeps records of all materials processed and produces required reports
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Candidate specification
A relevant mining qualification
At least 5 years mining experience
Experience in quarry plant operation and maintenance a distinct advantage
Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment

Sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and working to environmental standards.
Excellent communication and team working skills
Flexibility with work hours and willing to work weekend and evening shifts
Willing to live on mine site 40km from Harare
The desire for training and willingness to learn
