About the Attachment Program

The company seeks a motivated Quantity Surveying student to join its technical team for an industrial attachment placement. The role provides hands-on exposure to cost control and contract administration in a live construction environment, offering valuable insights into commercial project delivery under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material schedules, and cost estimates

• Support site measurements, valuations, and quantity take-offs

• Participate in procurement documentation and supplier evaluations

• Help monitor project budgets, track costs, and update material usage

• Maintain quantity surveying files, reports, and contractual records

• Assist in subcontractor procurement and management

• Perform additional duties as directed by the Quantity Surveyor

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates should:

• Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Construction Economics

• Have a strong interest in the commercial aspects of construction

• Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of QS software is an advantage

• Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, and eagerness to learn

• Be able to work independently and collaborate within a team setting
