Quality Controller
To calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources
• Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
• Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer
vehicle progress.
• Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of Brand
service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators.
• Returns rejected vehicles to department to be reworked
• Repeats inspection procedure until product meets quality standards and specifications are attained
• advises technician of type of defects noted and need for adjustment.
• Reviewing current work practices to identify areas in which quality or productivity could be improved.
• Check that work carried out on the vehicle correspondents with the work requested on the job card
• Carry out road tests to confirm that work requested has been completed correctly
• Liaise with workshop foreman and technicians on failed road tests
• Sign off job card timeously when satisfied that all work has been carried out correctly
• Move completed vehicles to the wash-bay for cleaning
• Carry out road test with customers when required
Qualifications And Experience
• Journeyman Class 1
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and written skills
• Materials analysis & testing
• Persuasive and influential
• 3 years experience
