Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process production activities and finished products against set quality specifications and standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements throughout the production area.
- Document and report all non-conforming products and processes and lead root cause analyses to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports and compliance databases to ensure full traceability.
- Conduct quality inductions, training sessions and One Point Lessons (OPLs) for production staff.
- Monitor product freshness, manage ingredient rotation (FIFO) and report on inventory quality issues.
- Prepare and present shift reports, trial findings and product improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a quality control role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety standards.
- Strong analytical, documentation and report writing skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
