Quality Control Chemist
The successful applicant will be based at Cam & Motor mine and will undertake any such tasks, within the scope of their expertise, as may be directed by the Chief Chemist inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
Duties And Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining laboratory quality control systems of the labs in compliance with I5017025: 2015 to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
Implementing and continuously improving the QA/QC system in the labs.
Researching on new analytical techniques.
Trouble-shooting and developing corrective actions on laboratory equipment.
Verifying laboratory equipment calibration status and recommending for external calibration. Developing and validating new methods.
Ensuring the usage of control standards.
Initiating and participating in intra and inter laboratory testing.
Liaising with procurement on the quality of reagents.
Managing the base metals and water sections.
