Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, mature, honest and substantially experienced persons for appointment to the above challenging positions which have arisen in the Organization.

QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIANS X 2

The applicants will be based at Gwayi Catchment in Bulawayo and Manyame Catchment in Chinhoyi and reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementing total quality management system
• Conducting regular inspections at water supply stations and sewerage works
• Processing discharge license applications and renewals.
• Investigating and attending to upstream water pollution threats and determining appropriate treatment regime
• Conducting safety inspections of water and sewage system
• Assessing external proposed projects and developments and input mitigatory measures aimed at surface and groundwater protection vii. Conducting environmental impact assessments

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• Degree in Applied Microbiology, Science, Environmental Science, or equivalent
• A minimum of three years post qualifying experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
