VACANCY
Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the developing and implementation of a comprehensive public relations strategy to promote and enhance awareness of the Authority’s activities.
Key Outputs

Plan, develop and implement NSSA’s public relations and communication strategies, both internal and external.

Oversee the development and execution of support materials and oversee public relations and communications.

Design and implement a fully integrated comprehensive public relations strategy to create awareness of the Authority’s business activities.

Create, implement and manage strong and effective public relations and communications program aimed at enhancing the public image of the institution.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including the media, government agencies and the public.

Plan and execute media campaigns for NSSA’s online platforms and traditional media.
-
Monitor and analyse media coverage and trends.

Prepare and present reports to management, staff and social partners.

Supervise and mentor junior team members and publishers in the department.

Monitor and manage the department’s budgets to support communications initiatives.
Qualifying Requirements
-
A Degree in Marketing or equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution.
Key Competencies and Characteristics
-
Sound knowledge and understanding of the role of marketing, communications, PR and CSR.

Sound knowledge of various marketing and corporate communications disciplines and approaches.

Demonstrated experience and strategic background, preferably from the financial or insurance services.

Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM).

Familiarity with social media and web analytics (e.g. Web Trends).

Excellent brand building and reputation management skills.
-
Constantly informed and updated on news stories especially those pertaining to the Authority directly and indirectly.

Knowledge of global business drivers and trends.
-
A self-driven, mature strategic thinker who is a team player and is able to work in cross functional teams.
