Job Summary
ARC is looking for a graduate Psychologist to be based in Harare in Zimbabwe. Reporting to the Clinic Supervisor and working closely with the Nurse Counsellors, the Psychologist will provide psychotherapy, including follow-up therapy and facilitating support groups for SGBV survivors. She/He will also work with the Outreach and Training Teams to implement their duties and achieve goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Performing psychological assessments and evaluations and offering somatic psychotherapy self-care techniques to survivors, care-givers and ARC staff;
2. Providing team consultation and psycho-education to Nurse-Counsellors and multi-sectoral stakeholders;
3. Survivor history intake and records keeping;
4. Submitting monthly, quarterly and annual activity plans reports to the Clinic Supervisor and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Qualifications And Experience
BSc Psychology
Advanced qualification in Psychology will be an added advantage
Exceptional report writing and communication skills; High level of personal integrity; Strong work ethic; Ability to respect survivor confidentiality.
Fluency in oral and written English is essential; Ability to communicate in local languages; Ability to communicate in sign language is an added advantage
Proficiency in the use of computers for Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint
