Key Responsibilities

  • Developing a comprehensive provincial work plan aligned with the Agency’s annual workplan on censuses and surveys.
  • Managing the Provincial Office and providing leadership to the provincial team.
  • Ensuring all censuses and surveys meet specified deadlines and target response rates.
  • Supervising and assuring quality during implementation of censuses and surveys within the province.
  • Ensuring timely submission of provincial reports to Head Office.
  • Preparing and submitting provincial budgets to Head Office on time.
  • Managing finance, administrative, and human resource functions within the province.
  • Leading staff mentoring, supervision, and performance management activities.
  • Participating in and facilitating stakeholder meetings at provincial level.
  • Creating networks and strengthening relationships with Ministries, Departments, Agencies, business organisations, and non-state actors within the province.

Requirements

  • A First Degree in any of the following: Mathematics Statistics Operations Research and Statistics Population Studies and Demography Or an equivalent qualification with a quantitative bias
  • A Master’s Degree in any of the following: Mathematics Statistics Operations Research and Statistics Population Studies and Demography Or an equivalent qualification with a quantitative bias
  • Minimum 5 years working experience as a Statistician
