Our client in the conservation sector is looking for a project leader to join their team. Ideally suited to a skilled businessperson looking for a different challenge and an opportunity to utilise their skills in a rewarding wildlife conservation environment. The Project Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the activities of the Trust as well as being responsible for achieving the strategic goals as set by the Board of Trustees. The Trust has unique assets, keen sponsors, dedicated trustees, inspirational community projects and a world-renowned location. It is seeking a leader to elevate the project to a new level and successfully transition the trust into a major player in conservation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Management;
Sales and Marketing.
Operations.
Finance & Administration.
Safety.
HR .
IT.
Strategy Development and Execution;
To draft and present to the Board of Trustees, the annual strategic plan for the trust in alignment with the trusts vision. The Strategic Plan will be approved by the Board of Trustees or amended as they see fit.
Upon approval by the Board of Trustees, implement and execute the strategic plan and achieve the strategic goals.
Fund Raising and Financial Management;
Develop and implement a fund-raising plan to ensure that all the Trusts operating costs are covered and that there are surplus funds that can be used to further advance the vision of the Trust.
Budgeting.
Financial Reporting.
Cash Flow Management.
Cost Control.
Statutory compliance.
Marketing, PR & Communication;
Effectively communicate the aims and objectives of the trust to stakeholders, donors, potential participants and publics.
Expand and develop the profile and image of the trust through websites, social media, print media and other media channels.
Wherever possible maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, the public and interested parties.
