PROJECT GEOLOGIST – Mining Promotion Corporation

VACANCY 

The Mining Promotion Corporation (MPC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and committed professionals to take up positions in its structures. MPC is a professional and economic mineral exploration and development company with title to a portfolio of diversified mineral properties in all the Mining Districts in Zimbabwe. We are in search of qualified:

Responsibilities:

• Management of exploration project.

• Collecting, recording and analysing sampling data.

• Planning and budgeting for exploration of sites.

• Exploration targets generation and selection.

• Maintaining and disseminating accurate exploration and other relevant information.

• Conducting training of staff.

• Conducting field work data collection.

• Reporting of exploration results, estimation of mineral resources and mineral reserves.

• Carrying out data quality control and assurance.

• Maintaining high standards of safety, health and environment.

Requirements:

• Degree in Geology/Geoscience.

• A relevant professional qualification will an added advantage.

• 3-5 years exploration and mining experience.

• Hands-on experience with some GIS software an added advantage.

• A clean Class 4 Driver’s licence, ability to drive a 4×4 manual transmission a must.
