Qualifications and Experience

• An Engineering Degree in Chemical Technology, Chemistry or Applied Chemistry
• Project Management Codification i.e. Prince 2/PMP
• 6 years post graduate working experience
• Working experience in Power generation is a prerequisite
• Membership with a recognized professional institution

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 
• Conducts design reviews pertaining to water treatment, cool and ash handling and chemicals delivery plants.
• Coordinates all activities pertaining to the Laboratory and the maintenance and proper use of equipment.
• Installs, operates, calibrates, and maintains test equipment.
• Performs internal inspections of the area specific equipment as needed. May include but not limited to boiler, condenser, cooling lower, media fillers, and demineralisation plant.
• Performs chemical drawdowns, tracks chemical inventory, transfers, unloading and sets feed rote adjustments
• Possess a working knowledge of thermal power generation specific processes and systems.
