The Men 4 Equality Trust has a purpose to establish a critical mass of boys and men who augment the gains of gender mainstreaming. Therefore, part of our work is around reducing inequalities by encouraging men and boys to be champions of gender equality in all its aspects: politically, socially, economically, and in any other facet. Again, we offer support services and counseling to the boy child victims of child abuse as well as other male survivors so that they get access to justice.

Duties And Responsibilities

Providing programming expertise in the preparation of various program documents, such as work plans, budgets, reports and proposals; Preparation of program implementation arrangements under the guidance of the National Coordinator; Assist the Finance and Administration team in providing program administrative support in the organization of events, meetings and workshops, etc; Assist with making travel arrangements for the program team and project staff, including preparation of travel requisitions and claims; Assist in maintaining and organizing up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval and ensuring safekeeping of confidential materials; Provide psychosocial support to male survivors of various forms of abuse; Any other duties delegated by the National Coordinator.

Qualifications And Experience

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team; Strong report and proposal writing skills; Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows / Office environment.

Qualifications and experience
Recent graduate holding a degree in Social Work, Development Studies or equivalent from a recognised institution; Systematic Counselling qualification is an added advantage; At least a year of work-related learning experience; Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines; Work related learning experience in an NGO or developmental sector is required.
