About
The Federation of Organizations of Disabled People in Zimbabwe [FODPZ], registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation in 2004 is a non-profit national disability umbrella organisation of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs). The objective of its formation was to strengthen and unify the representative voice of OPDs and organizations of Parents of Children with Disabilities in Zimbabwe. The organisation seeks to facilitate collaboration, networking and coordination of its member organizations to acquire capacity, efficiency and effectiveness required in advocacy and lobbying aimed at improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe through disability inclusive by-laws, policies and legislation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Purpose of the function / role
The Programme Manager will provide support to the National Director with overall management and coordination of programmes / projects, resource mobilisation; Report Writing and development & maintenance of Partnerships with Stakeholders; A detailed job description shall be shared with the successful candidate.
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications and experience
A degree in Development Studies; Social Work; Disability Studies and /or any social science discipline related to development; A sound appreciation of use of different computer operating packages; A postgraduate qualification and a clean driver’s licence would be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ management experience within a non-governmental organisation; traceable experience in working with OPDs and disability service organisations.
