East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites applications by nationals of Zimbabwe for the Program Director position as part of EWMI’s proposal for the upcoming five-year USAID/Zimbabwe Young People for Integrity and Accountability (YPIA) Activity. The Activity will strengthen the ability of young people and key institutions at the sub-national level to improve good governance and public integrity. This is a long-term position based in Harare contingent on award and funding and offers a generous benefits package. The assignment is expected to start in February 2023.

DUTIES
The Program Director will lead, implement, and develop programmatic activities to enhance sub-national institutions anti-corruption capacities and build youth capacities to engage with political institutions and advocate against corruption.
The Program Director will also engage with participants in the Activity including sub national institutions such as professional associations, anti-corruption bodies, civil society organizations and government officials to improve their ability to engage with youth in communities they represent.

REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree (or higher) in political science, public administration, international relations, organizational development, law, or a relevant field and 5 years of relevant work experience, or relevant work experience of 7 years in lieu of an advanced degree
At least one year of sub-grants management experience dealing with sub-grants provided to Zimbabwean CSOs
English language proficiency with ability to speak one or more of official languages of Zimbabwe

Desired Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of the wide variety of youth development and support approaches and programs, including best practices, approaches, and methodology in programming related to civic engagement, service learning, and/or youth engagement
In-depth knowledge about advocacy and advocacy campaigns design and implementation
Experience in working with coalitions for a cause
Experience in working with government organizations, such as commissions and councils

Proven track record of applying creativity and youth positive development principles in working with youth
Technical knowledge and experience in youth development, training, group facilitation, and related support services for youth from varying backgrounds, as well as proactive engagement with youth networks and organizations in the planning and implementation of project activities
Experience working with institutions with a focus on serving the needs of youth, particularly workforce-aged youth
Knowledge of anti-corruption initiatives and strategies
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
