Duties And Responsibilities

Qualifications And Experience
Post A (x1)
- The ideal candidate should have a relevant MSc in Agronomy or its equivalent and an undergraduate degree in Agriculture Crop Science, Crop Physiology or equivalent.
- Possession of a relevant PhD and hands on experience in crop production would be a distinct advantage.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate the application of cultural practices in annual crops, perennial crops and well as tropical and sub-tropical fruit crops.
- The successful candidate would be required to teach the following undergraduate level modules:- Principles of Crop Production and Applied Crop Production.
Post B (x1)
- The ideal candidate should have a relevant MSc in Breeding/Seed Systems or its equivalent and an undergraduate degree in Agriculture Crop Science.
- Possession of a relevant PhD in Breeding or Biometry and experience in the design of agricultural experiments, data collection and data analysis would be a distinct advantage.
- The successful candidate would be required to teach the following undergraduate level module:- Statistical Methods and Experimental Designs.
Post C (x1)
- The ideal candidate should have a relevant MSc in Horticulture or its equivalent and an undergraduate degree in Agriculture Crop Science.
- Possession of a relevant PhD in Horticulture and experience in the production of horticultural crops would be a distinct advantage.
- The successful candidate would be required to teach the following undergraduate level modules:- Floriculture and landscape Horticulture and Seed Science and seed systems.
