Our client is seeking a mature and experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee their manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader and motivator, capable of driving performance, optimising production efficiency, and maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role requires a results-oriented professional with solid manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the plastics industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production operations to meet output, quality, and cost targets.
- Drive operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
- Oversee workforce planning, supervision, and performance management.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards.
- Manage production budgets, material usage, and waste reduction.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
- Plastics industry experience is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning.
- Performance management and KPI monitoring.
- Process optimisation and cost control.
- Quality management systems knowledge.
