An exciting opportunity for the position of Production Foreman has arisen for suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is an extensive, local and international provider of high quality and durable timber-based solutions for both industrial, domestic and end user markets. The successful incumbent will report to the Manufacturing Manager and shall be based in Mutare.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Produces budgeted value added products in line with the sales planner.
2. Manages all factory production activities such as doors, brandering, PAR, and finger jointing.
3. Manages costs in line with budget
4. Procures spares on time
5. Ensures that productivity targets are achieved
6. Improves internal process efficiency
7. Maintains safety standards in the factory as guided by the safety policy
8. Holds monthly safety meetings and quarterly SHE audits
9. Provides a safe working environment

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Wood Machining/Wood Technology
• BSc degree in Wood Technology – an added advantage

Skills and Knowledge

• A team player and self-motivated – able to identify and rectify skills gaps and recommending interventions.
• Excellent presentation skills – Powerpoint
• Very analytical and comfortable with MS Excel spreadsheets

Remuneration

A remuneration package commensurate with education and experience will be given to the successful candidate.
