Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely actioning of purchase requisitions in the assigned procurement categories and /or campuses.
  • Supervision of Procurement Officers in the assigned procurement categories
  • Minute taking for Procurement meetings related to PPDPA Act-exempted procurements.
  • Leading PMU activities in campuses outside Gweru (where applicable).
  • Production of category-specific procurement reports from time to time and as requested.
  • Checking of cost comparative schedules, for onward transmission (for approval) to the Procurement Manager.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Requirements

  • A first degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
  • A Master’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
  • A professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, e.g., CIPS, is a must
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience.
  • Should have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Should be a good team player.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail in execution of duties.
