Key Responsibilities

• Manages the procurement and purchasing process in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Sources suppliers and obtains competitive quotations for goods and services
• Evaluates supplier proposals and recommends cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Negotiates prices, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Prepares purchase orders and ensures timely procurement of required items
• Monitors inventory levels and coordinates replenishment to avoid stock shortages
• Maintains accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation
• Tracks supplier performance and ensures compliance with agreed service levels
• Coordinates the receipt and inspection of goods to ensure quality and accuracy
• Ensures compliance with procurement regulations, internal controls, and budget requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Procurement, Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as CIPS is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration
• Experience in sourcing, vendor evaluation, and negotiation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and procurement systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Knowledge of inventory management and cost control principles is an added advantage
