Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Trainee Buyer/Procurement Officer to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services, and will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sourcing and evaluating suppliers: Identify and assess potential suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s quality and cost requirements.
2. Negotiating contracts and prices: Work with suppliers to agree on prices, delivery terms, and other contract details.
3. Managing inventory and supply chain: Oversee the flow of goods, materials, or services from suppliers to the company.
4. Analyzing market trends and prices: Stay up-to-date with market developments and price changes to make informed purchasing decisions.
5. Maintaining relationships with suppliers: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree: In a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, procurement.
2. Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
3. Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and management.
4. Negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
