Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development of and implementation of the Annual Procurement Plan.
- Prepare procurement reports and reports required by management, Council and regulatory authorities
- Applies knowledge of e-government procurement system to facilitate compliant, efficient, and transparent procurement processes.
- Applies knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act to ensure compliant and effective procurement practices.
- Prepare and process tender documents.
- Formulates Contract Agreements in liaison with prospective suppliers and contractors
- Monitors contract performance, deadlines, and compliance, and maintains accurate contracts records and the Contracts Register.
- Supplier Selection, Evaluation and Registration.
- Sources quotations and evaluates them and prepares buying orders.
Requirements
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply or Equivalent.
- A member of a relevant professional board such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Zimbabwe Institute of Procurement and Supply would be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- At least 25 years of age
