Job Specification
Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Purchasing goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Tracking deliveries to reduce the risk of late on none delivery of goods and services
• Ensuring all procurement processes comply with company polices
• Ensuring purchases are done from suppliers who have dealership certificates in respective areas
• Managing supply chain to ensure smooth flow of all procurement activities
• Monitoring delivery times to ensure uninterrupted supply
• Conducting research for new components and suppliers
• Compiling data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
• Building, maintaining and managing supplier relationships and keep up good communications
• Ensuring compliance to company guidelines, and purchasing policies and during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.
• Negotiating contracts, improving prices and terms of business with suppliers and reviewing opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
• Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain or CIPS.
• At least 1 year’ experience in a similar position
• Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown
• Experience of working closely with suppliers.
• Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements.
