Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and procuring construction materials, mining equipment, spare parts, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), fuel, and operational consumables.
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations and preparing comparative analyses to support procurement decisions.
- Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Issuing purchase orders and monitoring deliveries to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods and services.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with stores and site teams to prevent stock shortages and operational disruptions.
- Supporting construction and mining operations by responding promptly to urgent procurement requirements.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements
- A Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A professional qualification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ procurement experience, preferably within the construction and mining industry.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing mining equipment, construction materials, heavy-duty spare parts, and operational consumables.
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, and inventory management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement/inventory management systems will be an added advantage.
