PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Aurex Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and is into jewellery manufacturing and diamond cutting and polishing. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacant position which has arisen in the organisation. Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent’s responsibilities will be as follows:

Key Responsibilities

• Draft policies and procedures in Iine with Procurement Regulation Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) regulations. • Oversee the procurement of goods and services guided by PRAZ regulations. • Advise the Accounting Officer on all Procurement issues. • Determine applicable procurement methods to be used when requests are received. • Produce procurement monthly reports for internal & external stake holders. • Prepare annual procurement plan and returns.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree/Diploma in Purchasing and Supply. • Certificate of proficiency with Public Procurement and Disposal of public Assets Act. • At least 3 years proven experience in° similar position. • Computer literate in latest procurement technologies • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Analytical skills with special attention to detail • Strong Negotiation skills. • Membership of a reputable Procurement Board or Institute.
