Key Responsibilities
- Develop Strategies, Policies and Procedures so as to create a highly effective Procurement Management Unit.
- Scouting for competitive local and international suppliers of company’s key raw material and preparation of all imports documentation.
- Preparation of company Procurement Plans, individual plans and any other procurement related reports.
- Overseeing the Procurement of goods and services in accordance with procurement regulation and in a competitive manner.
- Preparation of bidding documents and managing procurement contracts.
- Managing the Procurement Management Unit.
- Maintaining records on all procurement proceedings and related matters.
- Identifies and researches for potential new suppliers.
- Advising the Chief Executive Officer on all critical procurement matters.
- Procurement, in a timely manner, of all key raw materials, spare parts, consumables, outsources stationery and other general company requirements.
- Supervising the procurement staff members in an effective manner ensuring full adherence to the Procurement Law and Regulations.
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
- Procurement Professional Qualification.
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in “reading” the market.
- Talent in negotiations and networking.
- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Experience in collecting and analysing data.
