MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Procurement or Equivalent from reputable institutions with at least 5 years post graduate learner ship experience in a mining or heavy manufacturing environment
- A professional qualification such as CIPS will be an added advantage
- Working knowledge of SAP Materials Management module a distinct advantage
- Demonstrable knowledge of a recognised SHE system, preferably NOSA
- High levels of communication and sound interpersonal skills
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Managing the Procurement section to ensure delivery of goods and services on time
- Supplier management and business partnering
- Tendering and adjudication of general purchases and projects
- Management of purchase order placement and expediting processes
- Researching on new products and new serves to meet company’s goals
- Management of clearing agents and freight-forwarders
- Developing and implementing Procurement Key Performances measures and objectives and Targets
- Formulation and implementation of cash flow and cost saving initiatives
- Implementation of the organisation’s SHE and Quality system
