VACANCY 

The Agricultural Marketing Authority (AMA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Fisheries, and Rural Development. Established in terms of the Agricultural Marketing Authority Act (Chapter 18:24), AMA regulates, supervises, develops, and administers the marketing of agricultural products.

The Agricultural Marketing Authority invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position:

AMA is calling for self-motivated and dynamic graduates to apply for the Graduate Trainee position in the Procurement Department. This program aims to provide unemployed graduates with an opportunity to gain practical work experience through mentorship and exposure in procurement.

Expectations of the Traineeship Programme

• Duration: 18 months.

• Exposure: Trainees will gain experience from mentors, supportive colleagues, and experts.

• Role: Support management on a range of exciting projects, acquiring professional, methodological, and technical skills.

• Outcome: Upon successful completion, and if a vacancy is available, trainees may assume a position of responsibility at AMA.

• Location: Head Office in Harare.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (2.1 and above) in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Not more than 3 years post-graduation.

• High integrity, analytical, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

• In-depth knowledge of public procurement laws and regulations.

• Leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Not older than 28 years as of August 2025.

• Clean Class 4 Driver’s license.
