Job Description
Reporting to the C.E.O, the successful applicant will, among other key aspects, be responsible for:
® Developing and implementing the procurement strategy for Gain Cash and Carry in line with Gain growth ambitions.
® Negotiating and securing profitable supply arrangements. Foresee and plan for changes in comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and Gain.
® Exploring new procurement opportunities to ensure business growth.
® Overall company gross margin – dollar and % margin target.
® In liaison with operations – achievement of company turnover target.
® Attainment of an appropriate ideal working capital model.
® Management of the demand planning process by store, by region and by category.
® Lead in staff capability initiatives in liaison with HR.
® Demonstrable annual cost savings via commercial, negotiation and strategic initiatives.
® Crafting and executing winning trade promotions, with supplier collaboration.
