Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of RFQs in accordance with the requirements of PRAZ
- Maintains the tender register giving updates to the Procurement Officer and filing of the Procurement minutes
- Performing all clerical duties for the section during PMU meetings
- Filing all procurement documents and updating the Officer on the status of RFQs
- Able to interpret the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23)
- Assist in the implementation of annual procurement plan for Chegutu Rural District Council
- Expediting all procurement as assigned
- Assist in the opening evaluation of the bids, awards and establishment of reasonableness of price or cost analysis
- Advising the Officer timeously on all Procurement activities
- Assist the PMU section in building up sectional relationships
- Assist in tracking bid notices in the gazette and national paper
Requirements
- Minimum of National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or related
- At least one (1) year experience in public procurement
- Not more than 30 years old
- No criminal record
