Identifies and recommends potential suppliers to the Procurement Officer
Duties And Responsibilities
Receives authorized purchase requisitions and logs them into the Procurement document movement control sheet.
➢ Identifies and recommends potential suppliers to the Procurement Officer.
➢ Sends Requests for Quotations (RFQ) to approved suppliers.
➢ Opens Quotations/Tender box at the expiry of advertised period.
➢ Compiles comparative schedules.
➢ Minutes during Procurement Committee meetings.
➢ Negotiates with suppliers for favourable payment terms and delivery periods.
➢ Generates purchase orders based on lowest bidder to specifications.
➢ Drafts supply contracts.
➢ Sends purchase orders and or supplies contracts for authorization.
➢ Ensures that all signed purchase orders are sent to the suppliers on time.
➢ Expediates deliveries.
➢ Tracks and manages supplier performance
➢ Contract management
➢ Attaches purchase order accounts copy to supplier invoice and Goods Received Voucher (GRV) and submits to Creditors section for payment.
➢ Compiles procurement reports (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly).
➢ Adheres to and ensures adherence to safety, health and environment regulations and standard procedures.
➢ Any other duties as delegated by the Superior.
Qualifications And Experience
5 “O” levels including English Language and Mathematics/Accounts.
➢ National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
➢ A Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Level 4 (CIPS) Certificate a prerequisite.
➢ Valid membership of CIPS.
➢ At least 1-year relevant experience in public procurement.
➢ Class 4 driver`s license.
