Duties And Responsibilities
• Assist in the entire procurement cycle to include all tendering activities
• Receiving procurement requisitions from user departments
• Creating purchase requisitions in line with standing procedures and guidelines
• Sourcing quotations for goods and services as assigned from time to time
• Preparing comparative schedules for approval
• Assisting in the consolidation of departmental procurement plans
• Liaising with suppliers through sending purchasing orders and expediting delivers
• Filing and assisting in the maintenance of all procurement records
• Provide secretarial services and technical guidance to internal Evaluation Committees
• Tracking supplier’s payments in liaison with the Finance Department
• Assists in monitoring contracts with respect to performance, deliverables, and contract expiration dates
• Preparing ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement reports and returns
Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or an equivalent degree
• A professional qualification in procurement preferably CIPS or any related qualification an added advantage
• At least two years of relevant experience in the Public Procurement environment
