Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post, which has arisen in our Procurement department at Cashel Valley (a division of Cairns Foods Limited). The position will be based in Mutare.
Duties And Responsibilities
THE JOB
Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the successful applicant will among other key
challenging aspects be responsible for:
❖ Receiving duly authorized purchase requests from user departments
❖ Checking adequacy of information on purchase requests received
❖ Selecting potential suppliers from approved supplier’s list
❖ Providing quality service and products
❖ Placing orders with selected suppliers
❖ Following up orders for delivery of purchased items or services
❖ Checking delivered products against orders
❖ Conducting annual and periodic supplier evaluation
❖ Communicating supplier’s evaluation results to stakeholders
❖ Assisting with drawing up and maintaining approved suppliers’ list
Qualifications And Experience
THE PERSON
The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
❖ Degree/ Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or any related qualification.
❖ Excellent computer skills.
❖ At least two years’ experience in FMCG industry.
❖ Able to work under pressure.
